Northampton, MA indie rock act And The Kids are a shining light within New England’s rich and creative music community. The core of their music revolves around melodic pop while being adorned with jangly guitars and solid rhythms. They simultaneously embrace the vintage and modern takes on the style, which is a very special thing. Extending this notion is their third studio album, When This Life Is Over, due out on February 22 via Signature Sounds. It’s a multi-dimensional record that’s abundant in variety and harmony.

Hannah Mohan’s vocal range is understated and should be talked about more. She reaches stunning levels in various songs while her guitar playing forms the nucleus. Rebecca Lasaponaro levels everything out on drum and serves as a fantastic foundation with bassist Taliana Katz. Adding various touches is Megan Miller on the keys to complete the audial excellence. Each member makes their presence felt on the new album and that’s a credit to its production.

I’m not gonna really get into the dark cloud that’s been floating around the music industry these days, all you have to do is search a few things on Google and you’ll find everything you need to know.
