SNAP! Music & Arts Festival Takes Over The Plant
Providence, Rhode Island’s artistic culture is wide and diverse. Musicians and visual artists come from various backgrounds to play a part in a community that’s purely one of a kind. It’s only fitting that there’s a festival happening to highlight all of this. On August 3, the second edition of the SNAP! Music & Arts Festival will be happening at The Plant located on 60 Valley Street in the Olneyville section of the city. An assortment of bands and artists will be coming together to support a couple great causes.
The lineup for SNAP! includes punk acts like Math The Band, Quitters and FINE. to go along with hip hop stalwarts Jesse & The Tree People, Spocka Summa and Myles Bullen. A few outliers will also be involved including new wave weirdos Xr-Tabs, dream garage rock trio Cherry Pit and indie pop dynamos The Benji’s. Troop and Riffraff Bookstore & Bar, which are both located within The Plant complex, will be providing food and drink. Numerous vendors such as Bad Taste, Top Shelf Vintage, Wicked Candle Company, Recovered Relics and many others will be selling their crafts. All of this and more will be going to benefit Girls Rock! Rhode Island and The Imagination Guild.
